Bruce Artman

Bruce is a research, development, and technology executive with more than 30 years of experience specializing in the nutrition, food, personal care, and pharmaceuticals industries. His roles in these industries include positions in operations, quality assurance, regulatory affairs, and supply chain management, as well as in international settings.

Before joining Curio Wellness, Bruce was most recently Director of Business Development for Advanced Bio Nutrition (ABN). Prior to ABN, Bruce was VP, R&D for Vizuri Health Sciences and was VP, R&D and Quality for New Earth Life Sciences. Bruce also served as a USDA Visiting Scientist in 2013.

Over his 30 years of experience, Bruce has held technical and management roles for brands that include TIC Gums, DSM/Martek Biosciences, McCormick & Co., Nestle, and PepsiCo. Prior to entering the commercial industry, Bruce was in clinical nutrition research at the University of Pittsburgh Medical School and taught nutrition for NutriSystem, Inc. In 2014, Bruce initiated a Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, D.C. nutrition forum to promote the region’s nutrition industry.

Bruce has two B.S. degrees from The Pennsylvania State University, one in Nutrition Chemistry and one in Food Science. He earned his M.S. degree from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in Food & Nutrition Science. Bruce is a Certified Food Scientist by the Institute of Food Technologists and is a professional member of the American Society of Nutrition, the Society of Cosmetic Chemists, and the American Chemical Society.
