Barry F. Williams
Barry Williams is the Regional President at Curio Wellness, where he oversees the allocation of resources in order to meet financial and business objectives. His long history of leadership and educator experience enables Curio Wellness to develop strategic goals and align tasks with company policies and procedures.
Before coming to Curio Wellness, Williams was the Director of Recreation & Parks for Baltimore County. With over 212 parks, 35 community centers, and a staff of 200 full-time and 1500 part-time employees, he supervised the many diverse aspects of recreation, including the Agriculture Center, which helped new farmers succeed at working their land and provided opportunities for children to visit a working farm.
Prior to recreation and parks, Williams was the Director for Workforce Development located in Baltimore County where he oversaw various programs including the Workforce Investment Act.
Williams spent most of his working career as an educator in a variety of positions, including counselor, high school principal, EEO officer for the Baltimore County School Systems, and area superintendent for the Baltimore City Schools. He was awarded Administrator of the Year in 1998 and was a finalist for the state’s principal of the year.
He received his B.A. from the University of Maryland, College Park, and went on to receive his Master’s in Administration and Supervision as well as Counseling from Loyola University in Maryland.
