Dan is a thoughtful and effective agronomy leader with two decades of experience working in and overseeing greenhouse and propagation operations. Dan has continuously demonstrated success in managing agronomy operations ranging from privately owned specialty nurseries to large-scale, national market leaders.
Skilled in all facets of nursery and agronomy operations, Dan has used his leadership roles to consistently drive operational excellence and outsized crop yields, while incorporating the latest technological advancements to maintain state-of-the-art production facilities. In his role as Director of Floriculture at Curio Wellness, he leverages this large-scale agronomy expertise to drive outstanding production yields through industry-leading cultivation practices.
Dan played a pivotal role in clean stock nursery operations for Driscoll’s Strawberry Associates, the market leader in the U.S. berry market. At Driscoll’s, Dan was responsible for operational aspects of the greenhouse and screenhouse department that secure and store the genetics for global deployment. Dan managed Driscoll’s nursery greenhouse operations with a focus on improving greenhouse production practices, while maintaining high sanitation protocols and clean stock for global deployment to North America, Mexico, the EU, and Asia.
Before joining Curio, Dan was the VP of Agronomy for MedMen Enterprises, a vertically integrated cannabis retail operator, where he was responsible for the development of a nationwide cultivation operation. Dan also developed and led the agronomy department at Canndescent, a California-based cannabis company.
Dan received his B.S. in Environmental Horticulture Science from California Polytechnic State University, with a concentration in Greenhouse Production.
