Media Statement on Maryland Medical Cannabis Commission’s Decision Not to Take Action on Auxiliary Facility Locations
We are greatly disappointed with the Committee’s decision today not to take further action on our carefully considered proposal for an efficient solution to a product shortage that every industry stakeholder acknowledged. The Commission chose politics over patients and failed to have the thoughtful discussion that the independent dispensary owners, community leaders and political leaders who expended their time and effort to support the proposal deserved.
Despite today’s outcome, we remain steadfast in developing a solution for the growing demand in the market and will once again work diligently with the Commission’s staff to make it a reality. Like every day, we are driven by our mission to provide patients and independent dispensaries throughout the state with safe, effective, reliable and most notably, affordable cannabis-based medicine.
